PERKINS PARK COMMUNITY GARDEN
SHED GUIDELINES
1. Please remember! The combination for the shed door is for members only! Please do not give the lock combination to a non-member.
2. The combination will be changed annually when new members join.
3. A variety of tools and hoses are available for use by all members and are clearly marked as “Perkins Park Community Garden”. Please feel free to use them! Please remember to return any tools and water hoses to the shed before leaving the garden.
4. If you choose to store your own tools in the Community Garden shed, please mark your tools clearly with your name or plot number.
5. A push lawn mower is available in the shed; please take a few minutes to maintain the area around your plot.
6. If you are the last or only person watering your plot from the water source, properly close the water access, return the hose to the shed, and ensure that the shed is locked and water access is appropriately covered.
7. A wrench for the water source is in the shed with the hoses. Please be SURE to return the wrench where others can find it easily!
8. Please remember to conserve water by utilizing the water in the rain barrels, and using only the amount of water necessary for your plot! Please turn off the hoses on the water barrels as soon as you have finished watering your plot.
9. If you are using the rain barrel to water your plot, please be kind and help to fill the rain barrel periodically, so that all members share in the responsibility.
10. Please contact Pat 781-848-7308 or Christine 781-848-9645 if you have any questions or concerns.
11. Again, IMPORTANT! Don’t forget to lock the shed before you leave the garden!
Happy Gardening!
